My name is Alexander Brisimitzakis, and I am a 24 year old currently residing in Olathe, Kansas. Despite being situated in the Midwest, my family is from Brooklyn, New York. My grandparents on my dad’s side immigrated from Greece, while my mother's side from Italy. Because of my rich heritage and Mediterranean upbringing, I am very passionate about my Greek & Italian culture.

 

Since a young age, I have had an immense love for all things technology. The first experience that comes to mind is playing games such as Super Mario 64 and James Bond GoldenEye on a modded XBOX that my older brother created. Being able to play N64 games on an XBOX opened my eyes to what was capable in the world of tech and sparked my interest at a very early time in my life.

 

In 7th grade, my other brother introduced me to a game called League of Legends, which was just released to the public and in its first season. I used to sit next to and watch him play with his friends, enamored by all the different characters, abilities, voice lines, and graphics. This gave me the drive to learn everything there was to know about this game so I could play with him and maybe one day become better.

 

Here I am 10 years later, with thousands of hours invested into the game I began playing back in grade school. This love for League of Legends has driven many of the cornerstones of my life, ranging from the friends I've made, the projects I've pursued, and the field of work I aspire to be in.

 

My passion for League of Legends is what drove me to create an online business during my time at college, exposing me more to software development, marketing, and sales. In addition, I have pursued some other software based projects relating to League of Legends, as well as projects relating to coursework undergone during my time at Rockhurst University.
